Chapman University's flagship pitch competition hosted by the Leatherby Center, where student entrepreneurs pitch their startup ideas to a panel of investor and business judges for feedback, mentorship connections, and prizes. Modeled after Shark Tank-style format, open to Chapman students across all majors and disciplines.
Annual business competition organized by the Mike and Renee Child Institute, now open to the general public (previously UC Davis only). Provides a forum for entrepreneurs to collaborate, develop, and test business visions. Offers mentorship, team building, education, financing, and networking. $100,000+ in prizes awarded annually; 2025 first prize: $25,000. Past winners span biomedical devices, agtech, sustainable products, and social impact ventures.
